In Kazakhstan, the project to build a railway wheel manufacturing plant has been put on hold

According to LogiStan, the project in the Aktobe region of Kazakhstan, which was being implemented by the Russian company ‘Aktobestil,’ has been suspended by the government administration of the region due to the ‘developing international geopolitical situation.’
Previously, it was reported that Aktobestil intended to launch a railway wheel manufacturing plant in the Aktobe region of Kazakhstan in 2025, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
The project was estimated to cost 168 billion tenge ($377.3 million) with plans to create 582 new jobs.
It was expected that the plant would produce 330 thousand wheels for wagons per year.
