The depot features a main workshop, 450 meters long, for the comprehensive maintenance of ICE 4 trains.

Siemens Mobility and Alstom have delivered another batch of trains to Israel Railways

It includes the replacement of key components such as traction motors or bogies. Initially, 450 employees work at the depot, with plans to increase to 1200 by 2026.

The uniqueness of the workshop lies in its ability to accommodate either one 13-car train or two 7-car trains on each of the two tracks, eliminating the need to separate trains during technical maintenance.

Cottbus Depot stands out for its modernity and high automation.

Specially designed equipment by DB experts speeds up repair works, including a setup for dismantling and moving bogies from under the carriages and the use of virtual reality for consultations with other DB specialists.

Another workshop with four tracks is under construction and is scheduled to be operational in 2026, further strengthening the depot’s role in servicing the ICE 4 high-speed train fleet, a backbone of Germany’s railway transportation.
