Hyundai Motor and the Ulsan authorities have united to create an eco-friendly hydrogen project. The company plans to introduce innovations based on clean hydrogen energy to reduce emissions.

According to the signed agreement, they will develop and apply hydrogen technologies. They aim to establish an efficient network for hydrogen production and transportation in the region. Hyundai and Ulsan will work together to promote hydrogen-powered, environmentally friendly transportation. They are focusing on tractors and forklifts essential to city infrastructure.

The parties are also developing new hydrogen-powered cargo tractors. Their prototypes are already being prepared for test routes. These innovations will significantly reduce the carbon footprint in Ulsan’s logistics. This, in turn, will contribute to a clean supply chain in the region.

Lee Dong-seock, Hyundai’s CEO, emphasized the importance of creating a sustainable hydrogen ecosystem.
