Hungary invests 7 million euros in border rail infrastructure

The Hungarian government is going to invest about 6.8 million euros in the railway infrastructure around the city of Zagon bordering Ukraine.
This is reported by the railway magazine Railway Supply with reference to Mintrans.
It is planned to build 2970 meters of 1520mm gauge railway track and 4618 meters of 1435mm gauge one.
In addition, 18 sidings will be updated and existing railway lines will be upgraded.
The Hungarian national railway company MAV is responsible for the implementation of the project.
