Hafeet Rail: Mixed Transport for Passengers and Freight

The Hafeet Rail line, spanning 303 kilometers, will link the UAE’s rail network with Oman. It includes 12 passenger stations and 15 freight terminals, connecting key trade hubs.

Passenger trains will operate at speeds of up to 200 kilometers per hour, reducing travel times significantly. For instance, the journey from Abu Dhabi to the Sohar Port will take just 100 minutes.

Freight trains will transport up to 15,000 tons at speeds of 120 kilometers per hour. This efficient route will improve logistics and support trade growth in the region.
