Gulermak announced the tender result on Friday through Türkiye’s Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) after Serbian authorities formally confirmed the company’s winning bid.

The project will focus on reconstructing the Stalac–Dunis section and adding a second track to increase railway capacity.

The firm partnered with YSE Yapi Sanayi for this major infrastructure effort. Together, they aim to improve transportation reliability and streamline cargo and passenger movement across the key Serbian corridor.

Gulermak’s Strong Track Record in Railway Contract Projects

Founded in 1958, Gulermak Heavy Industry Construction and Contracting has consistently led major international infrastructure initiatives. Its portfolio spans over 260 kilometers of tunnels and 120 metro stations globally.

Previous projects include Turkey’s Istanbul M4 Metro line, the Dubai Metro in the UAE, India’s Kanpur Metro, and Poland’s Swinoujscie Tunnel. These successes highlight Gulermak’s expertise in large-scale transportation infrastructure.

In 2024, Gulermak exceeded $1 billion in annual revenue, according to its financial reports. Additionally, the company launched its IPO in January, now trading on the Istanbul Stock Exchange under the ticker GLRMK.
