The Indian company BEML will manufacture these trains at its facility in Bangalore. Delivery of the first trains is expected by the end of 2026, ensuring timely project completion.

Local Manufacturing and Modern Technologies

India plans to establish domestic supply chains for high-speed train components to reduce foreign dependency. This effort will strengthen the country’s position in manufacturing rolling stock for rail infrastructure.

The new high-speed trains are based on the Vande Bharat platform and meet global quality standards. These trains are designed to adapt to India’s specific operational and environmental requirements.

The Indian government expects this project to stimulate economic growth and advance transport modernization. Localizing production will make India self-reliant and foster technological innovation nationwide.
