A new phase in electric train manufacturing

Until now, FPS primarily focused on passenger coach modernization, but it is now entering the rolling stock market with a full line of electric trains.

In the tender, the company outbid competitors Newag and Pesa by offering the most competitive price. This became the decisive factor in winning the contract.

The trains are designed to meet modern standards for safety, comfort, and accessibility for passengers with reduced mobility. Production will be completed by 2029.

Hybrid prototypes prepared FPS for electric train production

The company laid the groundwork for this transition by developing and testing hybrid models. In 2021, FPS introduced the first prototype, the 227M, followed by an upgraded 228M version in 2023.

Both models demonstrated stable performance on mixed routes. These trials reinforced FPS’s reputation as a reliable manufacturer of rail transport solutions.

This new contract marks a strategic breakthrough for FPS and confirms the company’s readiness to compete with top producers in Poland and beyond.
