delivery of two more ES3000 battery locomotives

This evening, one locomotive will be delivered to the Gorna Oryahovitsa depot, while the second will be sent to the Plovdiv depot tomorrow morning. With this new delivery, the total number of locomotives supplied under the EU Recovery Plan has reached five. Thus, five out of ten ES3000 battery locomotives have already been delivered, bringing the project closer to successful completion.

Express Service OOD representatives emphasized that the delivery of these locomotives contributes to improving the efficiency of Bulgarian passenger operators and enhancing the country’s railway infrastructure.

Furthermore, the company noted that at present, this is the only actual locomotive delivery and fund utilization within the EU Recovery Plan for Bulgaria’s railway sector.

The delivery of ES3000 locomotives plays a crucial role in modernizing the country’s railway sector, reducing CO₂ emissions, and enhancing the sustainability of Bulgaria’s transportation system.
