The Uzbekistan Foundry and Mechanical Plant (LFM), which is part of the national railway company “Uzbekiston temir yo’llari,” has announced the shipment of a batch of railway wagons to Kazakhstan. The exact quantity of wagons has not been disclosed, as reported by the railway portal Railway Supply.

These wagons were purchased by the freight carrier “Shyngar Trans,” which serves as the official forwarder for the Kazakh national railway holding, “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy.”

The technical specifications of the supplied hopper cars include a payload capacity of 72.5 tons and a volume of 61.6 m³. These specifications correspond to the model 19-9596 hopper-cement car, production of which began at LFM in 2017.

It is worth noting that in 2022, LFM did not produce cement cars; instead, the plant’s primary production consisted of grain hopper cars of the 19-9600-01 model.
