Elzhas Otynshiev has joined the board of directors of Kazakhstan Railways, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

The tenure of Gibrat Auganov, a member of the board of directors of the national company Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (Kazakhstan Railways), managing director of the Samruk-Kazyna Fund, has been terminated.

He served on the KTZ board of directors for two years – from February 18, 2022.

In his place, Elzhas Otynshiev, co-managing director for strategy and asset management at the Samruk-Kazyna Fund, has been elected as a member of the board of directors of the national railway carrier of Kazakhstan.
