Sue Barrett, EBRD’s Head of Infrastructure, emphasized UZ’s critical role in Ukraine’s resilience. UZ’s 200,000-strong workforce will also benefit from grants promoting workforce development and stability.

The EBRD prioritizes long-term climate goals by supporting projects adaptable to renewable energy. These gas-fired generators can later balance power from wind and solar sources, promoting sustainability.

Ukrainian Railways operates 20,000 km of rail networks and contributes 2.34% to pre-war GDP. Its wartime operations are vital for transporting people and goods, reinforcing strategic importance.

Since 2022, the EBRD has invested over €5 billion in Ukraine’s energy security, infrastructure, and trade. This commitment highlights EBRD’s long-term support for Ukraine’s development and economic recovery.
