Railway transport plays a vital role in Ukraine’s logistics network, especially during military conflicts. To support private investors, the EBRD has allocated €110 million in guarantees.

The program offers coverage for cargo and railway rolling stock, ensuring comprehensive asset protection. Short-term policies allow capital reuse, enabling insurance coverage worth up to €1 billion annually.

France, the United Kingdom, Taiwan, and other international donors are also backing this initiative. This collective effort strengthens access to reinsurance while rebuilding trust among international investors.

Earlier, the EBRD announced its plans to implement mechanisms for insuring goods transported within Ukraine. These efforts aim to enhance market resilience and adapt to current economic challenges.
