The European Commission will allocate €50 million for the repair and modernization of Ukraine’s port infrastructure, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
In Kyiv, on November 25, the International Summit “Grain from Ukraine” took place.
Financing innovative railway projects in the United Kingdom
The event aimed to strengthen Ukraine’s role as a guarantor of food security, consolidate efforts to ensure global food security, and develop alternative logistics routes for exporting agricultural products from Ukraine.
Summit participants discussed collaboration on grain storage and transportation of agricultural products to recipient countries.
Discussions also revolved around activating the involvement of international partners in the “Grain from Ukraine” initiative and expanding the list of recipient countries for food aid.
To support these efforts, the European Commission is allocating €50 million for the repair and modernization of Ukraine’s port infrastructure, as well as improving port capacity.
It is expected that this will accelerate the export of food and other goods supplied by Ukraine to global markets.
As reported earlier, Ukraine will receive military ships to ensure the safety of vessels in a temporary corridor.
