€325 Million Loan for Rolling Stock Acquisition

Belgrade’s transportation company, GSP Beograd, has requested approval from the city assembly to secure a long-term loan of €325 million for the acquisition of rolling stock, as reported by the railway portal Railway Supply
Last week, the Mayor of the Serbian capital, Aleksandar Šapić, announced plans to use the loan to purchase approximately 20 trams and 300 buses.

Previously, he had expressed intentions to acquire 100 trams, which, as he stated, would enable a complete renewal of the city’s tram fleet within two to three years.
