Canada Strong Pass Expands Free Access to Parks and Museums
Parks Canada will offer free admission to all national parks, historic sites, and marine conservation areas. In addition, campers will receive a 25% discount on site fees across the country.
Children aged 17 and under can enter national museums and the Plains of Abraham Museum free of charge, while young adults aged 18 to 24 will enjoy a 50% discount on admission.
Canada Strong Pass Encourages Rail Travel and Local Tourism
VIA Rail will provide free travel for children under 18 accompanied by an adult, and 25% off tickets for young adults aged 18 to 24. This supports affordable and sustainable travel across the country.
Select provincial and territorial museums are also participating. They’ll offer free admission for children and half-price entry for young adults, expanding access to diverse regional experiences.
The Canada Strong Pass reduces financial barriers and strengthens connections between Canadians and their heritage. The program promotes unity, exploration, and pride in Canada’s shared identity.
To support tourism recovery, Parks Canada Discovery Passes purchased for June–August 2025 will be extended for three extra months at no additional cost, encouraging more visits into the fall.
Over 200 Parks Canada destinations—including 48 national parks and 171 historic sites—will welcome visitors this summer. Together, they contribute over $4 billion to Canada’s GDP and support local communities.
Whether hiking, camping, visiting museums, or riding the rails, Canadians are invited to reconnect with nature and culture. This summer, families are choosing Canada.
