Direct Trains from Amsterdam to London to Resume in February 2025
02.11.2024
Eurostar will resume direct trains from Amsterdam to London in February 2025. This was reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

After several months without this route, Eurostar confirmed that the international journey would restart on February 10, offering a seamless travel experience for passengers.
Expanded Capacity on Trains from Amsterdam to London
Due to renovations at Amsterdam Centraal, Eurostar had to halt its direct trains from Amsterdam to London since June. All Amsterdam services required a stop in Brussels for passport checks, while the London to Amsterdam route continued to operate smoothly.

Issues with Dutch rail infrastructure also raised concerns over Eurostar’s ability to maintain operations from the Netherlands. Thankfully, most of these issues are now resolved, allowing the direct service to return in February, just a month later than previously expected. The upcoming restart is highly anticipated by both frequent and new Eurostar passengers.
Upgraded Amenities for Trains from Amsterdam to London Travelers
As part of a significant renovation at Amsterdam Centraal, the Eurostar terminal will receive a notable upgrade, designed to enrich travelers’ experiences. The new terminal will offer a coffee corner, several shops, and a comfortable passenger lounge, adding convenience for Eurostar travelers. This upgrade aligns with Eurostar’s efforts to enhance passenger capacity and service quality.
From February, the train departing from Amsterdam will accommodate 450 passengers, an increase from the previous 250 limit. In the spring or summer, Eurostar plans to welcome an additional 200 passengers from Amsterdam, reaching full terminal capacity. This expanded service not only meets demand but also strengthens cross-border travel opportunities for a growing clientele.
In addition to Amsterdam passengers, Eurostar trains will welcome travelers from Rotterdam and Brussels. This expanded capacity serves the high demand for cross-border travel between the Netherlands and the UK, making international journeys more accessible for all. Eurostar’s upgraded service and larger capacity signal a promising future for international rail connectivity.
With these enhancements, Eurostar’s direct trains from Amsterdam to London offer a convenient and upgraded travel experience. The new terminal facilities and expanded capacity mark a significant improvement in international rail travel, fostering stronger connections between the Netherlands and the UK.
