The German railway has started transporting grain from Ukraine for export.

Ukrainian grain transportation

This was stated by the Minister of Transport of Germany Volker Wissing, Railway Supply magazine reports with reference to European
Pravda.

DB Cargo, which brings together all of Deutsche Bahn’s national and international rail freight operations, is in the process of building a rail bridge that could transport large quantities of agricultural products to North Sea and Adriatic ports, the official said.

It is specified that DB Cargo already operates on behalf of private grain exporters from Ukraine. The head of the railway, Richard Lutz, spoke about two to three trains a day from Ukraine through Poland and the corresponding terminals in Western Europe.

Recall that Germany plans to launch a railway “grain bridge” from Ukraine. The EU and Canada also said they would help Ukraine export grain.
