Czech Railway Projects to Modernize Regional Transport

Czech railway projects are set to modernize key train stations, enhancing regional transport and sustainability. Stations in Bečov nad Teplou, Františkovy Lázně, and Cheb in the Karlovy Vary Region will undergo reconstruction. This project, with a €9.9 million grant, aims to improve connectivity and efficiency.

In the Moravian-Silesian Region, Ostrava-Vítkovice and Kopřivnice stations will be upgraded, supported by a €3.6 million grant. These improvements will enhance passenger experiences while boosting regional transit capabilities.

Czech Railway Projects Support Climate Goals

The Usti nad Labem region will benefit from modernized stations in Lovosice, Teplice, and Roudnice nad Labem. A €9.5 million grant will help improve accessibility and ensure compliance with EU climate neutrality targets.

Spain also received funding for its healthcare sector. A €59.3 million grant will expand and modernize A Coruña University Hospital Complex. This initiative addresses rising healthcare demands while focusing on energy-efficient solutions.

The Public Sector Loan Facility blends European Commission grants with European Investment Bank loans to support such projects. It focuses on helping regions meet climate neutrality and development goals by 2030.

PSLF funding calls began in July 2022, with more planned until 2025. The next round is scheduled for January 2025, offering further opportunities for public investments.
