The remaining 38 cars ordered under the contract are expected to be delivered to the network by summer 2025.

The supply contract, signed in 2017, included the production of 36 intermediate cars and 8 driving cars for a total of $150.8 million.

However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as changes in technical documentation and localization requirements, the deliveries were delayed by almost three years—from June 2019 to February 2022.

Subsequently, there was another delay of more than a year due to issues with the communication systems between the cars, caused by the Canadian supplier.
