Construction of the High-Speed Rail in Spain Continues: Key Milestones
The locomotive is equipped with two independent battery packs and traction drive systems that can operate either separately or together.
Lithium iron phosphate batteries with a total capacity of 800 kWh provide a range of up to 120 km.
Synchronous motors with permanent magnets and liquid cooling can pull trains weighing up to 220 tons on gradients up to 50‰ at speeds of at least 10 km/h.
Additionally, the locomotive features a regenerative braking system, significantly extending its range and reducing brake pad wear.
Furthermore, it is equipped with a fire alarm and automatic fire extinguishing system, ensuring a high level of safety.
These technologies and innovations represent a significant advancement in urban rail infrastructure.
