The company plans to deliver the first ten trains by the end of 2026 as part of a large-scale modernization of the city’s transit system.

The manufacturer equipped the train with an automatic driving system that enables independent station stops, departures, and door operations. This improves safety and schedule accuracy.

The train also features systems for real-time condition monitoring, passenger counting, and energy regeneration. These solutions reduce maintenance costs and improve operational efficiency.

Each car includes two air conditioners that automatically regulate temperature and air quality, ensuring comfort for passengers.

CRRC Investment Project and Local Development

The contract for 24 new CRRC trains was signed in 2024. The total investment exceeded 700 million reais, equivalent to approximately $127.7 million at the current exchange rate.

The new rolling stock will serve two metro lines in Belo Horizonte. The project is supported by local authorities and national infrastructure programs.

The trains will increase capacity and reliability while reducing downtime. These improvements will enhance the city’s transit sustainability.
