Coradia Stream H: Hydrogen Train in Italy

Company FNM unveiled Coradia Stream H — a hydrogen train for Lombardy. They held the event in Rovato depot, showing refueling. This was reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

Testing and Preparation
Operator Ferrovie Nord Milano tests the train on modern equipment in depot. Experts successfully completed refueling, and the technology is ready.

Earlier, engineers tested the train at Alstom’s ring in Salzgitter, Germany, successfully. Soon, it will run on the Brescia — Iseo — Edolo line.
FNM’s network lacks electrification, but the H2iseO project addresses this issue. It builds a hydrogen cluster in Brescia province sustainably.
Launch and Future Prospects
Experts will finish tests, and the train will earn certification for 2026 operations. FNM will launch it in the first half confidently.
