Alstom has entered into a contract with the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) for the supply of 60 single-deck passenger cars (pictured) at a cost of €285 million, as reported by the railway portal Railway Supply.

The contract also includes an option for an additional 313 cars. Deliveries are planned to commence in 2026.

These cars, designed for speeds of up to 200 km/h, are intended for use in suburban trains.
