Container Corporation of India Signs MoU with GAIL

Container Corporation of India has entered into an MoU with GAIL to build LNG infrastructure across its national logistics network and promote clean energy use in road transport. This is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

On April 23, 2025, the Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) signed a strategic MoU with GAIL (India) Ltd in New Delhi. Senior officials, including CONCOR CMD Shri Sanjay Swarup and GAIL Director (Marketing) Shri Sanjay Kumar, attended the signing.

The agreement outlines a plan to develop LNG stations at CONCOR terminals nationwide. The first project will begin at the Khodiyar terminal in Ahmedabad. Both companies will also explore future collaborations in logistics and clean energy solutions.
Previously, the Container Corporation of India installed an LNG station at its Multi Modal Logistics Park in Khatuwas. It also added 130 LNG-powered trailers to its fleet to reduce carbon emissions.
Shri Sanjay Swarup emphasized that this partnership reflects CONCOR’s commitment to offering environmentally responsible logistics services to its customers. He noted that sustainable transport is central to the company’s long-term strategy.
