Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan have approached EU banks for a loan to build the “Kyzylorda – Uchquduq” railway, according to Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Transport, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

The transport ministries of both countries have already contacted the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the European Investment Bank to request financing for the feasibility study of the project.

The amount of money and the terms under which they plan to obtain it have not been disclosed by Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Transport.
