Among CLW’s product lines are the six-axle 9,000 horsepower WAG-9HH freight locomotive and four-axle 6,000_hp rated WAP-5 passenger locomotives, capable of a speed up to 200 km/h.

CLW Production Plans and Yearly Comparison

The first 100 engines were made in 41 days, and 200 engines took 75 days. At the same time, in 2024/2025 production was extended. Therefore, development in the current year bears witness to stepped-up production and increasing efficiency.

The 2025/2026 production schedule forecasts 777 locos. This is a major step toward transforming India’s railway sector and promoting CLW’s status as a key manufacturing power.
