It is expected that starting from next year, serial deliveries will begin, with 3-4 units per batch. The entire fleet of 38 of these ‘trams’ is planned to be put into operation from late 2025 to late 2027.

CRRC calls ART the world’s first trackless tram. In reality, it is a three-section ‘bus’ on wheels, which moves on a specially designated and marked road area resembling tram tracks.

This 30.2-meter-long transport can carry 241 passengers and travel at speeds of up to 70 km/h. It has a range of 245 km.

Numerous sensors are installed in it, enabling autonomous operation at GoA2 level.

This contract in Malaysia is the first export case for the ART technology.

Perth, Australia, could become the second potential customer. Another prototype of a hydrogen-powered ART was delivered to this city at the end of September.
