The news of ČD’s plans to invest €480 million in developing its train maintenance enterprise by 2031 is generating interest in the prospects of the railway industry in the Czech Republic, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

According to the company’s plans, four entirely new technical maintenance workshops will be built, and existing facilities will undergo extensive modernization.

New tracks will be laid, and track communication will be doubled. These measures aim to optimize the servicing process and enhance safety on railway tracks.

The investments also cover the acquisition of modern equipment for train maintenance.

This includes converting the power supply system, building testing centers, and acquiring specialized equipment for diagnostics and servicing.

ČD’s plans demonstrate the company’s commitment to modern service standards and innovative approaches to train technical maintenance.

These investments will not only improve technical maintenance conditions within the country but also enhance the competitiveness of the Czech railway industry in the international market.
