The partnership will roll out modern offices in four key Florida train stations—Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, and Orlando. Each location will offer workspaces between 210 and 652 square feet.

These fully equipped offices will support team collaboration, client meetings, and solo productivity. Additionally, commuters can book a mobile workspace on a dedicated train car, which accommodates up to 66 passengers.

Workspaces Coming to Major Florida Train Stations

This innovative project merges flexible work with transportation, giving professionals access to work-friendly environments during transit. It’s the first initiative of its kind between a coworking leader and a high-speed rail provider.

Industrious continues to expand aggressively. Earlier this year, CBRE completed an $800 million acquisition of Industrious National Management Co. LLC. The investment followed CBRE’s initial stake, which began in 2020 and grew to 40 percent by 2022.

To secure full ownership, CBRE paid an estimated $400 million for the remaining shares. The acquisition positions Industrious for accelerated growth across urban and transit hubs.

Flexible Office Growth Spurs Expansion Beyond Train Stations

Industrious is also opening a 16,000-square-foot coworking center this fall in Beverly Hills, located at 150 South Rodeo Drive. The space is part of a 71,812-square-foot building managed by Douglas Emmett Inc.

According to CommercialEdge, February data shows the U.S. had 7,814 coworking spaces—marking a 25 percent year-over-year increase. Flexible offices now represent 2.0 percent of national inventory, totaling 140.1 million square feet.

The Southeast leads in coworking growth, with 1,960 locations and 33.3 million square feet. Train stations in the region could benefit from similar workspace concepts as travel-linked productivity continues rising.
