The new metro trains will serve Thailand’s Orange and Blue lines. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in Q3 2026 and will be completed by 2028. This project reflects Turkey’s growing influence in advanced transportation technologies.

Bozankaya Develops Metro Systems for Thailand and Istanbul

Bozankaya also contributes to urban mobility in Istanbul. Under the “100 Metro Project,” it will deliver 25 four-car trainsets to the city’s network. Each set is 88.2 meters long and holds up to 1,366 passengers.

The trains feature GoA2-level driverless operation, offering energy efficiency and high-capacity service. This initiative enhances local transport while promoting innovative transit solutions.

In Bangkok, each new metro car will carry over 800 passengers, directly supporting Thailand’s sustainable urban transit goals. This deal boosts both environmental targets and passenger capacity in Southeast Asia.

Bozankaya Trams Operate Across Türkiye and Expand in Europe

Bozankaya trams operate in cities such as Antalya, Kayseri, and Kocaeli. Recent contracts add 22 trams for İzmir, 10 for Samsun, and 20 light rail vehicles for Bursa, strengthening its national presence.

Internationally, the company supplies trams to Naples, Belgrade, and Elbląg. Its expanding portfolio highlights the global demand for Turkish-made transport systems and innovation-driven design.

Chairman Aytunç Günay emphasized the importance of these projects, noting that Bozankaya is now a recognized brand in Romania, Italy, Serbia, and Thailand. Innovation and energy efficiency remain key values.

The Gebze-Darıca metro line features GoA4 driverless trains with 70% local content and capacity for 1,476 passengers. These trains contribute to reducing carbon emissions and strengthening local manufacturing.

Günay affirmed the company’s long-term vision: “We aim to make Turkish engineering a global force in modern, eco-friendly transport while supporting climate action and economic growth.”
