Terrorists attacked the Jaffar Express, derailing three coaches and damaging others with explosives and gunfire. Authorities now send the affected coaches and locomotive to Lahore for repairs.

Senior officials confirm bullets hit the locomotive and all nine coaches during the assault. Consequently, experts transport the train rake to Lahore’s Mughalpura workshop for restoration.

The attack destroyed a 600-meter stretch of railway track, causing significant infrastructure damage. Engineers currently assess the cost and work tirelessly to restore the line quickly.

Balochistan Train Services Await Track Fixes

Engineers actively repair the 600-meter damaged track section to resume Balochistan train services soon. They started work after clearing derailed stock and target completion in days.

Officials predict the track will be operational within three days if security agencies approve. This clearance ensures safety for passengers and staff before trains roll again.

On Saturday, authorities canceled Business Express and Karachi Express departures from Lahore. Low passenger numbers prompted this, and travelers moved to other available trains instead.

Similarly, officials stopped the Jaffar Express from Lahore due to ongoing service disruptions. Passengers with bookings now claim refunds at reservation offices across the city.

Federal Minister Hanif Abbasi spoke at the headquarters and announced $136,842 for victims’ families. He also offered jobs to their children while vowing to fight terrorism.

Abbasi stated the tragedy forced the government to launch a major anti-terrorism operation. He lamented that locals in Balochistan and KP often aid terrorists for cash.

Thus, authorities pledge to eliminate anyone involved in terrorism across the nation. Abbasi accused India of funding attacks via consulates along the Afghan border.

He questioned why India runs 22 missions near the Durand Line, stirring unrest in Pakistan. Local facilitators, he claimed, assist these efforts to destabilize the region.

Balochistan Train Services Boost Regional Recovery

Railway officials collaborate with security agencies to ensure safe resumption of regional train operations. This partnership protects infrastructure and passengers once services restart.

Meanwhile, engineers push forward with repairs to reconnect Balochistan through efficient rail travel. Their efforts promise to restore normalcy and support trade in the coming days.

The $136,842 compensation package provides relief and jobs to families affected by the attack. Abbasi’s ministry commits to aiding victims while tackling terrorism’s root causes.

Authorities anticipate stable rail operations soon, enhancing connectivity across the region. Yet, they emphasize that security approval remains critical before full services resume.
