KAI President Director Didiek Haryanto stated that from August 1 to 3, the operator canceled a total of 80 train services. Specifically, 54 services were halted on the first day, followed by 24 on August 2, and two more today. These included the Malang–Bandung and Harina trains that usually connect Surabaya Pasarturi to Bandung.

Although operations largely resumed today, restrictions remain in place. Trains on the affected route can travel no faster than 60 km/h. “We’re gradually working to restore normal speed, targeting 120 km/h soon,” Didiek explained during a press briefing in Jakarta.
