Argentina is investing over $28 million in new railcars and locomotives to increase grain transportation

Argentina plans to purchase 180 new railcars for grain transportation, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

This decision is linked to the intention of Trenes Argentinos Cargas to expand its rolling stock fleet and boost grain cargo volumes.

In addition to the new purchases, 45 existing railcars will be retrofitted for grain transport.
The repairs will also involve four locomotives. The total investment in modernization and new equipment will exceed $28 million.
