Officials see this new round trip as part of a broader effort to grow ridership and modernize infrastructure. Additional initiatives are expected later this year, targeting travel time improvements and increased efficiency.
Demand for reliable alternatives to congested freeways continues to grow. So, Amtrak aims to position rail as a practical, eco-friendly solution for California’s major urban centers.
