As part of this program, the company is expanding and modernizing its production facilities, including the construction of new testing sites for hydrogen trains and Avelia Stream 300 trains, as well as increasing production capacity for regional trains in Savigliano.

Additionally, Alstom is expanding its plant in Vado Ligure, where a new workshop for train maintenance will be built.

At the Nola production site, the paint shop area will be expanded, enhancing the maintenance of high-speed trains.

There are also plans to build solar parks in several regions of Italy, highlighting the company’s commitment to environmentally sustainable development.

According to the Ernst & Young study, conducted using the inter-industry balance method, the indirect and induced effects of Alstom’s investments in the Italian economy amounted to an impressive €1.019 billion.

Moreover, the investments have created 14,000 jobs, including both direct and indirect employment, significantly impacting the country’s labor market.

An important contribution was also the purchase of €829 million worth of products from 1,500 Italian suppliers, stimulating local business development and strengthening economic ties.

The inter-industry balance method used in the study is widely applied to assess the economic effects of investments at national and regional levels.

It allows for a comprehensive evaluation of investment impacts, considering both direct and accompanying effects.

The application of this method demonstrates the significance of Alstom’s investments in the Italian economy, emphasizing the need to support such initiatives in the future.
