Alstom Expands Partnership with SNCF

The RER NG series features partially double-deck trains designed for high-capacity passenger routes. These trains are built for operation on busy commuter corridors.

Alstom emphasized that the additional order strengthens its long-term cooperation and confirms strong demand for innovative mobility solutions. The company has committed to resolving earlier technical issues.

The first trainsets entered service in November 2023, but acceptance was temporarily paused in March due to operational problems that emerged during use.

Alstom Strengthens Its Position in Île-de-France

The new trains aim to enhance comfort and energy efficiency across the network. This investment supports emission reductions and boosts the appeal of public transport.

Alstom will continue upgrading the regional transport system, as demand for eco-friendly solutions keeps rising. Local authorities remain committed to modernizing the network.

These investments will increase line capacity and reduce pressure on existing infrastructure. This is especially vital for the millions of daily RER users.
