Alstom Expands Production and Strengthens Export Growth

Kazakhstan has become a key base for Alstom, allowing efficient project management and regional operations. According to Jérôme Boyet, Managing Director for Western and Central Asia, this location fosters innovation and strengthens business partnerships.

The company utilizes Kazakhstan’s manufacturing facilities to expand exports and enter new markets. For instance, 40 freight locomotives were successfully delivered from Alstom’s local plant to Azerbaijan.

In January, the company broadened operations by attracting partners for collaborative industrial projects. This expansion supports both Alstom’s growth and Kazakhstan’s emergence as a major industrial hub.

Alstom and KTZ Sign a New Agreement for Locomotive Production

Last autumn, Alstom signed a contract with KTZ to manufacture new KZ6A freight locomotives. Under the agreement, 108 KZ8A freight and 54 KZ4AT passenger locomotives will be produced in Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan’s strategic location helps the company optimize logistics and expand export potential. Government support continues to drive railway infrastructure investments, promoting technological advancement and industry development.
