Alstom is investing 50 million euros in creating a 30,000 m2 depot in Bucharest, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

Alstom will collaborate with the local rolling stock repair company, Atelierele CFR Grivita, to service 37 Coradia Stream electric trains ordered by the Railway Reform Authority (ARF) in 2022.

Stadler has signed a contract for 25 ORION electric trains

The partnership will involve significant upgrades to existing facilities and the construction of new ones, including an underground turning and milling machine.

The initial phase is planned to be completed by the end of January 2024, with full completion expected in the second half of 2024.
