The deal, worth over 800 million euros, will see these trains serving lines 13, 12, and 8 starting from 2027, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

contract to supply metro trains

This order is part of a previously signed framework agreement between Alstom, Bombardier, Île-de-France Mobilités, and RATP, envisioning the delivery of up to 410 MF19 trains.

More than 3,000 container trains are planned to be sent from China in transit through Kazakhstan

The majority of the new trains (67 units) will operate on line 13, addressing the increasing passenger flow. Trains for lines 12 and 8 are also included.

They are equipped with driver cabins that can be replaced with a salon end for transitioning lines to automatic operation mode.

The MF19 trains feature modern passenger amenities: information systems, LED lighting, panoramic windows, USB sockets, and air conditioning.

Safety is also ensured with video surveillance systems and cybersecurity.

Additionally, energy consumption is reduced by 20% through regenerative braking.

The production of these trains involves eight French Alstom factories, highlighting the contract’s importance for the local economy and industry.
