Denver International Airport has become the first in the US to deploy the Innovia APM 300R autonomous trains from Alstom.

These modern aluminum-bodied cars have begun operating in the airport’s automated transport system, which has been in existence since 1995. The 2-kilometer line has four stations and connects the terminal with three halls.

The new rolling stock was manufactured at a plant in Pittsburgh and represents a significant advancement in urban transport technology.

The first six Innovia APM 300R cars are already in operation, with an additional 20 cars planned to be delivered by the end of the year.

The total cost of the order, which was placed in 2018, amounted to $79 million.

These new trains will gradually replace the old CX-100 model, produced by Bombardier back in 1995.

In total, the airport’s rolling stock will be increased to 41 units over a year and a half. This will ensure more efficient and reliable passenger service.

Currently, Denver airport organizes transportation according to a dynamic schedule that takes into account passenger flow.

During peak times, up to eight four-car trains can simultaneously serve passengers, ensuring smooth and comfortable movement between terminals.

This upgrade of the transport system demonstrates Denver airport’s commitment to adopting the latest technologies and improving passenger service quality.

Alstom, which undertook the commitment to supply new cars, strengthens its position in the transport solutions market and continues to develop innovative technologies in the field of autonomous transportation.
