A multimodal terminal is being constructed in Chernivtsi Oblast

Construction of the multimodal transport terminal “Fyshka Nov” has begun in Chernivtsi Oblast, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
The terminal is planned to accommodate 1520 mm gauge rail cars and transload to European gauge (1435 mm) railcars.

Additionally, the possibility of cargo transshipment between trucks and railcars is envisaged.
One of the terminal’s features is its ability to unload railcars on five 1520 mm gauge tracks at a rate of 1000 tons per hour, as well as load European gauge railcars with a similar capacity.
Loading bins are equipped with load cells, allowing for precise control of cargo weight during railcar loading,” noted Bogdan Poperechnyi, director of the design organization “AktivProekt.”
