A contract has been awarded for the construction of the HTSC high-speed train for a sum of 124 billion yen

HTSC, a consortium consisting of Hitachi LTD, Toshiba Corporation, and Toshiba Infrastructure Systems, will supply trains based on Central Japan Railway Company’s most advanced N700S model.
They have received an order to create 12 sets of next-generation high-speed trains, as reported by the railway magazine Railway Supply, citing RT.
The contract was awarded by the Taiwan High-Speed Rail Corporation (THSRC) and is estimated to be worth approximately 124 billion Japanese yen.
