4 new IMPULS 2 trains manufactured by NEWAG S.A are already on the railway track

By the end of December, another 10 new IMPULS 2 trains will be put into operation on the Polish railway, as reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply, citing Raport Kolejowy.
On December 7, SKM Trójmiasto company transported passengers for the first time with the new IMPULS 2 trains, acquired by the Pomeranian Voivodeship government.
This marks the first significant investment on the SKM line in seven years.
The project is co-financed by the Cohesion Fund under the Operational Program ‘Infrastructure and Environment’ for the years 2014-2020.

Its cost amounts to over 240 million zlotys, of which 154 million are financed by EU funds.
The transportation vehicles belong to the voivodeship government. The IMPULS 2 trains, manufactured by NEWAG S.A, will operate on line 250 for the next 5 years. A decision on their further use will be made afterward.
The trains operate on the route from the city center of Gdansk to Lębork and Gdańsk Center.
