$200 million for the modernization of Namibia’s transportation infrastructure

The African Development Bank (AfDB) will provide Namibia with a credit of nearly $200 million to implement the second phase of a transportation infrastructure modernization project, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
The primary objectives of the project include the construction of a new 207 km railway line and the upgrading of signaling systems on the Walvis Bay – Tsumeb route.

These efforts aim to increase transportation capacity, reliability, and safety in the region.
AfDB is contributing over half of the required investments, fostering the development of Namibia’s railway infrastructure and supporting the country’s economic growth.
