A major €307 million contract will support Lazio’s transportation system development. In 2022-2023, 38 trains were ordered: 20 six-car models for the Rome–Lido line and 18 four-car models for the Rome–Viterbo line.

These Indian electric trains for Rome suburbs are designed to meet ecological standards. With a top speed of 100 km/h, they will enhance passenger travel. The trains are adapted to serve both high and low platforms, ensuring user comfort.

The air-conditioning systems ensure safety and eco-friendliness by using CO2 as a refrigerant. This approach meets modern sustainability requirements and reduces environmental impact.

The first train was initially scheduled for delivery by the end of last year. However, geopolitical challenges affected timelines, but work continues according to the revised schedule.

Lazio authorities are confident in the successful completion of the project. The new trains will improve transport infrastructure and represent a significant step in modernizing the urban system.
