Only companies with an official presence in Chile are eligible to participate in the tender.
The new locomotives will be capable of operating on both diesel fuel and electric power from overhead lines. This solution will significantly reduce emissions and enhance the efficiency of rail transport.
Previously, EFE acquired six hybrid railcars from the Chinese company CRRC. These trains also use hybrid technology to improve environmental conditions and reduce operating costs.
Thus, EFE continues its commitment to implementing innovative solutions for sustainable development and improving the quality of transport services.
