Ukraine’s Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development actively collaborates with the EBRD to attract additional investments in the railway sector.

During the investment conference on the Chornomorsk Port concession project, ministry representatives discussed future cooperation opportunities with the bank’s delegation.

The EBRD has already provided Ukrzaliznytsia with €300 million for infrastructure upgrades and €180 million for the purchase of gas-powered generators and energy storage systems.

These investments will allow Ukrzaliznytsia to integrate into the distributed generation system and reduce energy dependency across critical infrastructure.

The ministry emphasizes the importance of EBRD involvement in refinancing Ukrzaliznytsia’s external debt.
