The Danish passenger transport company Lokaltog has announced a tender worth €220 million for the delivery of up to 24 battery-powered trains, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

The firm part of the procurement includes 14 trains, with a maximum length of 47 meters, along with their technical maintenance for a period of 15 years.

The new rolling stock is intended to replace the fleet of diesel trains manufactured in the 1990s.
