DP World: Advancing Freight Solutions with Strategic Partnerships

Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, DP World Group CEO, led a delegation to Pakistan under the SIFC platform. The team finalized the Dedicated Freight Corridor Project connecting Karachi Port and Pipri.

Multi-Million-Dollar Investment Drives Pakistan’s Logistics Transformation

Mazhar Ali Shah, Pakistan Railways secretary, represented the country alongside DG SIFC at the agreement signing. Officials from several ministries attended to underscore the initiative’s national importance.

This project will reduce Karachi’s freight vehicle traffic by shifting transport to railways. Improved cost-efficiency and connectivity will position Pakistan as a transshipment and trade hub.

Launched under a January 2024 bilateral agreement, this initiative represents significant progress. With multi-million-dollar investments, it strengthens regional trade and logistics networks.
